It really is one of the coolest things to get to photograph a couple’s wedding and then hear from them again when they are expecting their first child! When Becca emailed us I was so excited to see her and Tate through the process of becoming parents! Their little girl is in for a treat! They are some of the kindest and coolest people we know! Becca was absolutely glowing – I think motherhood suits her well!
Stay tuned tomorrow to see their precious bundle of joy – Tatum!!

This sweet family means so much to us! A few years back, Laura asked if we could take some family photos for them, when Finn was just 1! Now he is a whopping 3 years old and it’s been such a blessing getting to know them and loving on sweet Finn and watching him grow! I always look forward to their sessions – because Laura is somewhat of a fashionista and her and her little family are always dressed to coordinating perfection. The most exciting part is that these pictures this year are not only for their Christmas cards, but Laura & Garrett are going on Staff for Campus Crusade for Christ and one of these images will be accompanying their support letters! We’re so excited to see what the Lord has in store for them as they embark on this journey! Enjoy a few faves of this adorable family that we love so much!

We’ve still got some spots available for our mini sessions November 11th! Email us to book yours today!
ANOTHER ooey gooey precious newborn!! I’m not gonna lie, I kind of love these sessions! I mean…look at these sweet babies!! We met Shayna & Phil last year in our small group at church and have loved getting to know them. Sweet Brynli is always so wonderful to see and now we get to see Hayes every week too! It’s a pleasure that’s for sure! We got over to their house on a gloomy afternoon and struggled to get some good light inside for the pictures, but Hayes was the perfect little angel and Shayna was perfectly patient as we gushed over her sweet boy and posed him for pictures! He’s already gotten so much bigger! But everyone meet Hayes Walker Peabody!
Do Leslie & Cade look familiar?!?!
We got to shoot their wedding a couple years ago and Leslie is the infamous gorgeous bride who took her bridals in the cotton field! When Aric told me she called about shooting newborn pictures of sweet Nash, I was SO excited! Deborah & I went to the shoot and I knew we were going to have lots of fun! Leslie is always so funny!! They welcomed us into their home and let us take over for a couple hours to turn their living room into a shoot studio! Nash is such a cutie! And he was perfectly happy and asleep for most of the session-It was so great to get to meet him and see Leslie & Cade as parents- they are naturals and I know for sure that Nash is not lacking in love and affection from his parents and family. He’s a lucky little guy!
I’ve got a full lineup of blog posts for this week, but I couldn’t help but share a sneak peek first!! Do we have some gorgeous clients or what?!?!
xoxo, Happy Monday!!
As usual, I don’t even know where to begin with this post. If ever Aric & I saw CLEARLY the Lord’s perfect plan play out for us and our business it would have to be the past couple of months or so as Deborah has become a part of our team, our business, our daily lives. Deborah emailed us earlier this year after I posted that we were looking for a new intern to help us out. I was really excited when I saw that even though she has a full time job as a nurse- she would love to come in on her days off to help us out with the monotonous office duties that we spend a lot of our days doing. We waited a few months before we actually sat down and finally decided to set up interviews for the few people who were interested in the position. We have a small history with Deborah- we got to shoot her sister’s wedding in 2010 and again one of her best friends’ weddings last September. She’s always the kind of person who is easy to talk to and get along with, funny, and personable. So as she walked up to the coffee shop for our “interview” I was just excited to get to see how life was going for her. As we talked about the job and what it would include, she shared that, yes she was interested in photography, but if we needed her to lick envelopes all day she would. Whatever we needed, she’d be happy to help. Reluctantly she shared some of her own images with us and we both could tell she had a great eye and a heart for shooting portraits.
Long story short- after the meeting Aric & I got in the car with the same exact thought in mind. Hire Deborah (we call her “Debs”) with the intent of training her as a portrait shooter under our brand. This may sound crazy, but we rarely have the exact same ideas about things- but this was a no brainer for both of us. One thing that stuck out in both of our minds was that she said she prayed that if photography were to be a bigger part of her life- if she were to be a “photographer” that the Lord would send someone that she could do it with. She didn’t want to do it by herself.
The truth is ladies and gentlemen- I don’t think I would want to do it without her- now that we’ve had her around for the past month and a half! We’ve been working on a portfolio with her that will be a part of the blog soon! Seriously guys. She’s amazing! She’s great with kids and families. She’s a nurse so I feel more confident at a newborn session with her than by myself. And she’s a rockstar at shooting couples and seniors as well. (Not to mention she will also be shooting boudoir and beauty sessions under Je-T’adore as well!) She’s constantly making us laugh, she is such an eager learner, and motivates us both to work harder and be better. She’s an absolute joy to be around and on the days that she can’t be in the office to work with us we miss her! I’m so so excited that she’s become a part of the Aric + Casey Photography team and so looking forward to seeing how the Lord uses her in our business. He’s already used her to make life a little sweeter!
Everyone meet the newest family member of ACP- Deborah! (Deb, debs, or d-bebs)

Enjoy!
I’m so excited to post these pictures of this precious, precious family!! Aric and I have been so blessed by them the past few months, and it’s been such a joy to get to be a part of their lives!! Finn is the most adorable little guy, EVER, and although he’s a little shy, he’s been warming up to us more and more all the time! I always look forward to his big hugs and that sweet smile any time we get to hang out! Now, photographing a 2 year old isn’t the easiest thing to do- but when the family looks like this?! It doesn’t really matter because anything they do is adorable!!
Hope this little guy makes you smile today!
Enjoy a few favorites from their session!!
XOXO
Haha! These two are some of my favorites! Finn is one sweet boy!
And the faces he makes are priceless!
Finn with his mama! These were some of the best smiles we got out of Finn all day! We needed a double of his Dad behind us all day to make him smile like this!
I had to get a couple of just these 2 love birds! They’re too cute for words!
While I did that, Aric hung out a little with Finn by himself. Love the details of his eyelashes and his bowtie!
At least until Friday…when we leave again for Casey & Analisa’s wedding…
So much to do in just a few days! I’ve got lots planned…we will see if it actually happens! December is going to be one of the more crazy months we’ve had…(And I thought things were supposed to be slowing down a bit?!?)
The photobooth is going to be a practically every Christmas party that Lubbock has to offer!
Plus one of our weddings! 4 weddings in 3 weeks… And hopefully wrapping all of those weddings up before CHRISTMAS!!! Can you believe it?!?! This year feels like it has only lasted a couple months. I wish there were a pause button for life. I don’t want to miss out on anything…or take anything for granted…
If you’re waiting for a reply to an email… I’m working on it.
Putting in a print order by the end of the night, finishing up a few albums, etc, etc, only to begin again this weekend… AH!! I hope I can keep up!
Anyway, I thought the blog was feeling a little neglected so here are a few teasers of what didn’t get blogged before we left, plus a teaser from the wedding in Cancun!
Here’s one from Kira & LC’s rustic engagement session.
And one from the Stevens Family fun family session!
And here is one from the “Day Before” pictures we took of Liz & Tom in Mexico the day before their gorgeous Destination wedding!
Then last but not least a few of the Wedding Day Portraits from Liz & Tom’s Destination wedding in Mexico!! Beach and water pictures will never get old to me! So romantic!!
This is one cool family. I must say.
When Tara emailed about doing a family session I was excited and nervous all at the same time! Tara herself is an amazing artist and photographer so that’s always a little nerve-wracking shooting for a fellow photographer! But besides that, Tara is an incredible person. I don’t know her personally, but she’s just the kind of person that radiates life- anyone can tell that. She has an amazing personal blog that is so encouraging and just by following her twitter you’ll be inspired daily!
Jake is a Junior at Coronado High School and a football star!
We had so much fun hanging out with these guys and just getting to know them a little! I love watching the dynamic of a family. It’s one of the most intriguing things to me. Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister… each role so different and yet so important. It makes me happy to see a family love each other!
(And have fun together!)
We did a lot of that in their session! Enjoy some of our favorites!
