I have been waiting and waiting and waiting some more to be able to share these images with you guys!! There is so much behind this shoot that I hardly know where to begin! Aric and I have a real passion for finding ways to help brides do DIFFERENT things for their weddings! We have seen a lot of the same things over and over the past few years and know that it’s really simple to personalize your wedding with just a little inspiration and using some creativity! We look at wedding blogs and magazines and see all of these beautiful weddings from all over the world and think to ourselves… Why can’t Lubbock brides do this? THEY CAN! You CAN!
We set up this shoot, using some inspiration from these places and trying to get creative with it and I think the end result is awesome! (Especially considering we did all of this in like 3 days!) And with the help of some awesome vendors and our sweet couple that modeled we pulled it off!
We LOVE outdoor weddings. There is nothing better. The light, the ambience, it’s all perfect for weddings and perfect for pictures! Estate and backyard weddings have become more and more popular and we wanted to try something like this for Lubbock. We wanted the style to be casual and sweet and… SOUTHERN!
We found this dress at David’s Bridal on the $99 rack and couldn’t resist. We asked Laura to wear fun bright lipstick and Garrett to wear a fun pink bow tie! From there we moved on to the display for drinks and desert. We made a few quick signs for each dessert and drink looking for cute ways to display everything! College Flowers graciously provided us with the bouquet and flowers for the cake. And Hodge Podge Design made the beautiful invitations! With just a simple theme and a few details we were able to create an adorable look for a simple, sweet, southern wedding that you can easily do too!
We also created this shoot for our very first 1 on 1 WORKSHOP!!! That’s right!! We are now offering 1 on 1 workshops and I think the first one was a success! We spent most of the day talking shop and teaching our friend James about pretty much every single thing we do! And everything we’ve done since the beginning to start our business and even about all the plans we have for the future. And at the end of the day- he came along with us to this shoot and saw how we shot this set up, how we interacted with the couple, got to shoot everything himself and asked us any question along the way! It was too much fun! And I can’t wait for our next one in November! I sat in on most of the conversation when Aric was talking- and I tell ya. I learn something new from him all the time. He really does have so much to teach!
Okay, enough talking. Hope you guys enjoy our vision for this styled shoot! Can’t wait to do more for you guys!!
So excited and honored to announce that Caitlin & Ryan’s wedding from May has been featured on the 7 Centerpieces blog! Please go check it out! I love what Caitlin said about her vision for the wedding!
And…you might have seen some new badges on the blog or website and we are so happy to announce we’ve been chosen to be a part of the Love Olio blog with so many other wonderful photographers from all over the world!
You can view our page here: Aric + Casey Photography Love Olio
And knowing that we couldn’t do any of this without all of our wonderful clients we just want to thank each and every one of you! It truly is an honor to be a part of each one of your love stories and we’re so thankful to get to do what we love!
We’ve been featured on Style me Pretty today with Jenna & Travis’ Beautiful Texas Hill Country Wedding!!! (CLICK HERE) to see the full post! And be sure to watch Joe Simon’s wedding video too. You might need some tissue, though.
Along with Jenna & Travis’s wedding, you might remember that Jenna was a former Miss New Mexico and one of her bridesmaids is the reigning Miss New Mexico, Brittany Toll?! So that means she competed last night in the 2011 Miss America Pageant! Brittany made it to the top 16, but sadly didn’t move on from there. It was so cool to see her though and she did such a wonderful job! Brittany has been keeping log of all of her adventures as Miss New Mexico in a blog and you should definitely check it out! (GO HERE)
Happy Happy Monday, Everyone!
xoxo
