Archive for 'Newborn'
Ever since we got the studio for Je-T’adore Beauty & Boudoir I’ve felt so much more comfortable having a place to be able to shoot newborns too!! It’s perfect!! I’ve already got it all set up for my Beauty & Boudoir portraits and really there are only a few changes I have to make in order for it to be appropriate for a newborn session! When Allison first emailed me about shooting their newborn/family session after sweet little Charlotte arrived I have to admit I was a little hesitant. I was beginning to think I’m really not cut out for this newborn/family stuff. I need to stick with adults who can take direction and pose just the way I want them to by saying a few words! Plus, most of the newborn session I have done have been for close friends of mine or family members so I know it’s a big deal for a new mom to trust someone with their newborn! But she was so sweet and I couldn’t help but say of course! I can’t wait! Charlotte was scheduled to make her arrival around January 4th and I already knew we would be in town for a wedding that weekend so I thought that’s perfect! Just let me know when she gets here and we’ll set a date for the shoot after that! Well little Charlotte didn’t want to wait for 2014! She came a little early right around Christmas, so the first day I was back home after all the holiday travel with family we set the shoot and of course Charlotte was absolutely perfect! I mean…just look at her! A tiny little doll! And her parents?! Forget about it! They are done! They are absolutely smitten with her and it was so sweet to see! Hope you guys enjoy a few favorites from their session!! I couldn’t help myself so there are a lot! Oh…and on a side note…Allison! Can’t you believe she JUST gave birth to a little girl days before this??! She’s a rock star!
Here is sweet Tatum!!! Don’t you just want to squeeze her?! She’s so precious!! We shot her newborn photos a little later than I usually shoot newborn photos. It’s best to shoot these during their first few days (while they’re super sleepy and moldable), but Tatum was already a couple weeks old. We had a few minutes of a wide awake baby – then once we finally got her all swaddled up good and tight she was out! Gotta love the swaddle! ;)
And just look at Becca! I told you guys motherhood suits her!
We’ve still got some spots available for our mini sessions November 11th! Email us to book yours today!
ANOTHER ooey gooey precious newborn!! I’m not gonna lie, I kind of love these sessions! I mean…look at these sweet babies!! We met Shayna & Phil last year in our small group at church and have loved getting to know them. Sweet Brynli is always so wonderful to see and now we get to see Hayes every week too! It’s a pleasure that’s for sure! We got over to their house on a gloomy afternoon and struggled to get some good light inside for the pictures, but Hayes was the perfect little angel and Shayna was perfectly patient as we gushed over her sweet boy and posed him for pictures! He’s already gotten so much bigger! But everyone meet Hayes Walker Peabody!
Do Leslie & Cade look familiar?!?! We got to shoot their wedding a couple years ago and Leslie is the infamous gorgeous bride who took her bridals in the cotton field! When Aric told me she called about shooting newborn pictures of sweet Nash, I was SO excited! Deborah & I went to the shoot and I knew we were going to have lots of fun! Leslie is always so funny!! They welcomed us into their home and let us take over for a couple hours to turn their living room into a shoot studio! Nash is such a cutie! And he was perfectly happy and asleep for most of the session-It was so great to get to meet him and see Leslie & Cade as parents- they are naturals and I know for sure that Nash is not lacking in love and affection from his parents and family. He’s a lucky little guy!
I’ve got a full lineup of blog posts for this week, but I couldn’t help but share a sneak peek first!! Do we have some gorgeous clients or what?!?!
xoxo, Happy Monday!!
As usual, I don’t even know where to begin with this post. If ever Aric & I saw CLEARLY the Lord’s perfect plan play out for us and our business it would have to be the past couple of months or so as Deborah has become a part of our team, our business, our daily lives. Deborah emailed us earlier this year after I posted that we were looking for a new intern to help us out. I was really excited when I saw that even though she has a full time job as a nurse- she would love to come in on her days off to help us out with the monotonous office duties that we spend a lot of our days doing. We waited a few months before we actually sat down and finally decided to set up interviews for the few people who were interested in the position. We have a small history with Deborah- we got to shoot her sister’s wedding in 2010 and again one of her best friends’ weddings last September. She’s always the kind of person who is easy to talk to and get along with, funny, and personable. So as she walked up to the coffee shop for our “interview” I was just excited to get to see how life was going for her. As we talked about the job and what it would include, she shared that, yes she was interested in photography, but if we needed her to lick envelopes all day she would. Whatever we needed, she’d be happy to help. Reluctantly she shared some of her own images with us and we both could tell she had a great eye and a heart for shooting portraits.
Long story short- after the meeting Aric & I got in the car with the same exact thought in mind. Hire Deborah (we call her “Debs”) with the intent of training her as a portrait shooter under our brand. This may sound crazy, but we rarely have the exact same ideas about things- but this was a no brainer for both of us. One thing that stuck out in both of our minds was that she said she prayed that if photography were to be a bigger part of her life- if she were to be a “photographer” that the Lord would send someone that she could do it with. She didn’t want to do it by herself.
The truth is ladies and gentlemen- I don’t think I would want to do it without her- now that we’ve had her around for the past month and a half! We’ve been working on a portfolio with her that will be a part of the blog soon! Seriously guys. She’s amazing! She’s great with kids and families. She’s a nurse so I feel more confident at a newborn session with her than by myself. And she’s a rockstar at shooting couples and seniors as well. (Not to mention she will also be shooting boudoir and beauty sessions under Je-T’adore as well!) She’s constantly making us laugh, she is such an eager learner, and motivates us both to work harder and be better. She’s an absolute joy to be around and on the days that she can’t be in the office to work with us we miss her! I’m so so excited that she’s become a part of the Aric + Casey Photography team and so looking forward to seeing how the Lord uses her in our business. He’s already used her to make life a little sweeter!

Meet little miss Kambree! I got to spend the afternoon with her and her family yesterday and it was just too much fun! She is a DOLL!! So sweet, and slept perfectly through most of the session! Her doting Aunt’s had tons of bows and tutu’s ready for her photoshoot. I just loved seeing all those little toes and that nose! And those lips! Babies are just one of the sweetest things in the world that’s for sure! Hope you guys enjoy a few favorites from her session! We started with just a quick few of the whole family! I tell ya, those little girls know how to wrap their daddies around their little finger and Kambree is no different!
