Contest Winner(s) + 5 Things I Love | October
Thanks so much to everyone who participated in the Canvas Contest!! I believe it was a success! And I’m excited to announce Laurie & Layne are the winners!! So starting picking out your favorite image for a beautiful big 20×30 canvas!! And as an added bonus…we decided to throw in another canvas for the runner up! So Sarah & Brodie- You guys starting picking out the image you want for a free 16×20 canvas!! 😉
And now onto 5 things I love for October. I can’t even believe October is almost over! It’s been such a fun month for us!! So here are 5 things I’m loving this month:
1. Siri!! I mean really. She’s kind of awesome. I’m amazed every day at the new things she does! It’s kind of ridiculous! I dropped my second phone in water just a week before the new phones came out and had to be without a phone for an entire week before I was able to get the new phone! It was actually kind of nice being without a phone and not checking my email every 5 minutes. I think I’ll be turning my phone and computer off more often at the end of the day to enjoy more time with Aric. But I still think Siri is pretty awesome! 🙂
2. Hot Air Balloons!!
Earlier this month, Aric and I got to take my parents to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta for their first time!! We had so much fun! It was such a blessing to get to spend time with my parents!! We had so bad weather the first few days and were beginning to think we weren’t gonna get to see the balloons go up- but finally the last day the weather was perfect and we got to see all the balloons! It really is such a cool experience to see all the balloons going up at once! If you ever get the chance to go to the fiesta I would definitely do it!!
As some of you know I’ve been growing my hair out for the past like 2 years! If any of you have seen some of our wedding pictures you might remember the short bob I had (and loved) for a while! But like always, I began longing for those long tresses again and so began the growing out process! This time I’ve been more determined to grow my hair long and keep it long and healthy for a while instead of chopping it all off the moment it gets to the length I want it to! So I’ve been doing my research and have totally changed the way I even shampoo and condition my hair! I use hair masks and heat protectants like nobody’s business and I’m trying to keep it healthy! So I did what any girl would do and I googled… What hair products do the Kardashians use… Bahaha! I’m laughing at myself so it’s okay – everyone laugh along with me! But I have no shame! 😉 Anyway- I picked up some Biosilk to add to my growing collection of hair care products and I have to say I love this stuff!! Not only is it taking care of my hair, but it smells SO good, and you can even use it for moisturizing your skin! It’s a little pricey…but a little goes a long way and I love it!
4. The Texas Rangers!! Okay, okay- maybe not really. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m not the biggest fan of watching sports on TV. It’s just not my thing, and luckily Aric isn’t a sports fanatic who watches ESPN all day so we get along perfectly fine watching movies or HGTV together! 😉 But with the Rangers in the world series it’s been such a fun time to have an excuse to get together at a friends house or a sports bar and watch the games with our sweet friends. For me to admit that I’ve been paying attention and watching the games is kind of crazy, but to say that I actually enjoyed watching them is even more crazy. So here’s to the Texas Rangers! Hope they can win the world series! 🙂
(And seriously?!?! How could you not love the Rangers when you see this little pumpkin in this outfit!?! Darling, right?!)
And lastly, #5. My new boudoir photography business- Je-T’adore!
I got to shoot another boudoir session for one of our last month and it was so much fun!! I’ve been working hard to figure out the direction I want to take the business, how I want to brand it and trying to set up a new blog! So things are coming together! It’s just so cool to get an email from a girl after her session saying “WOW!! Is that girl really me?!?!” And it’s gotten me so excited to be able to do that for more and more girls!! If you’ve been thinking about a boudoir session definitely drop me a note! I’d love to talk to you about Je-T’adore and what it’s all about!! 🙂
Hope everyone has had a great October so far and has a wonderful and safe Halloween this next weekend!!
