After photographing Lubbock weddings for almost 10 years now – we’ve likely been to every wedding venue in the Lubbock area! It’s amazing the number of great wedding venues that have popped up in the last couple years! As a wedding photographer we get to see it all! The good, bad and the ugly! But I wanted to write this post to help out our brides planning their weddings here in Lubbock! Here are our picks for Top 10 Outdoor Wedding Venues Lubbock (and the surrounding areas). We’ll be compiling a list of the top 10 Indoor venues for you soon, too!

We Love the Simple and Classic look of Autumn Oaks Event Center! Best part? The ALL WHITE getting ready room WITH windows! Brides! The getting ready room is actually really important! Especially for your wedding photos! If we could design a wedding venue it would have tons of windows for natural light and all white everything! Truly! It makes such a huge different in your wedding photos! We love that Autumn Oaks thought about more than just the ceremony & reception sites! They have a beautiful awning with Natural wood beams that match perfectly with the pergola over the ceremony site! We unfortunately haven’t officially photographed any weddings here! But we’ve seen it at a corporate event we were a part of with Four Frames Photobooths! So if you’re getting married at Autumn Oaks let us know! We’d love to make some magical photos here with you!!
We have had the pleasure and privilege of being able to shoot weddings all over the United States including Napa! So some places are hard to compare, but shooting out at Caprock Winery truly takes us back to the beautiful wine country! You can opt to get married amidst the gorgeous Texas vines for a truly intimate vineyard wedding or choose the classic backdrop of Caprock’s stunning architecture to accommodate larger guest lists! Either way you can’t go wrong! We love shooting portraits in the vineyard at sunset with just you and your new husband!
Just a short drive South of Lubbock you’ll find Cotton Creek Barn in New Home and it is the perfect spot for a rustic country wedding! I’ve seen this venue dressed up and dressed down and it looks good both ways! Every where you turn you’ll find a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos and a gorgeous place to host your wedding guests. With indoor/outdoor versatility you will never have to fret about the unpredictability of West Texas weather!
Eberly Brooks opened last Summer and Aric was lucky to be the first to shoot there! It is an incredibly stunning timber barn venue with a white-washed interior and chandeliers that could make the queen jealous! I just love all the thought and heart that went into Eberly Brooks and it is a GORGEOUS venue for both indoor and outdoor weddings and it includes several amenities for you and your guests! The outdoor ceremony spot overlooks a pond & windmill and I know in the next few years the trees will start growing to make it even more stunning! If you’ve got a large guest list, look no further! Eberley Brooks is definitely one of the best Outdoor Wedding Venues Lubbock has to offer.
Ask anyone who’s been to Fulford Barn and they’ll tell you it’s other-worldly! It’s a true oasis in the middle of the desert! If you’re willing to take a drive about 45 minutes South of Lubbock to Brownfield you won’t regret it! From the lily pad covered pond, to the bamboo & ivy covered trees, Fulford boasts more greenery than most West Texans are used to! It’s absolutely beautiful and the Rustic Barn fits perfectly among that scenery! Though not techincally in Lubbock, Fulford Barn and its beautiful trees provide an amazing escape from the flatness of the South Plains. It is undoubtedly of the prettiest Outdoor Wedding Venues Lubbock and its surrounding areas have to offer.
Llano Estacado Winery just updated their events facility and it’s a beautiful backdrop for a wedding! Another local Texas vineyard with a classic adobe building. From the vineyards to the barrel room and the beautiful pergola overhang there is so much you can do with this space!
–McKenzie Merket Alumni Center
Many of the wonderful classic downtown venues don’t have an outdoor option, but the McKenzie Merket Alumni Center on Tech Campus does! And we have photographed many beautiful weddings out there! The architecture of Texas Tech University is just beautiful and the Merket is a great spot to get married! There are actually two outdoor options, both beautifully set with the adobe finish building as the backdrop! I’ve seen this venue completely transformed and I’ve seen it with the simplest decor! It looks amazing both ways! If you’re a Tech graduate or just looking to get married in the heart of Lubbock, but you still want to be married outdoors, the Merket is absolutely the place for you! The entire staff is amazing and will help your wedding get off without a hitch!
Spirit Ranch is Lubbock’s oasis! If you want a true Lubbock wedding, Spirit Ranch is great for you! It’s definitely one of our favorite Outdoor Wedding Venues Lubbock has to offer. Spirit Ranch offers 3-5 different options for your wedding and they are all beautifully lined with mature trees overlooking the pond and wide open spaces. With indoor and outdoor options available you can opt to celebrate every wedding event outdoors or mix and match indoor and outdoor!
We got to photograph a wedding at this little hidden treasure last year and it was such a nice surprise! The large red barn, open reception and pool area are just a few of the beautiful amenities that Tiera Del Corazon has to offer.
At Walnut Tree you can have it all! The owners not only provide the beautiful backdrop for your wedding, they will help you execute your perfect wedding vision with flowers, cake, food and decor! We love the versatility of Walnut tree and the vintage look of the barn and catering truck amidst the lush greenery, trees & windmills!
