I’m a bargain shopper. I used to want to buy everything at full price…but then I discovered Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshall’s. And now? It just seems silly to go shopping anywhere else or pay full price for something that I can get a great deal on at one of these stores! We had super late Christmas while we were in Albuquerque couple weeks ago and got GIFT CARDS!!! 🙂 We love gift cards. Anyway, so that gave us the perfect reason to go shopping!!!! HOLLA!!!!
I did the math on my outfit and realized every piece of clothing was $15 or less (minus my boots) So altogether my outfit (minus the boots) cost LESS than $50!!!!! Tell me that’s not A-Mazing!
I found this jewel of a shirt at TJ Maxx the other day while we were shopping and had the perfect reason to buy it (a gift card). I was so excited, I began putting together this outfit in my head and started bugging Aric about us going out and shooting some new pictures of each other. It’s been probably a good 3 years since I was ASKING someone to take my picture. I used to be Aric’s main model and somewhere along the lines I started dreading being on the other side of the camera. I’m thinking it has something to do with my new found Freedom and willingness to be comfortable in my own skin.
Being the wonderful husband he is- he agreed. And we went out, found an open field, and laughed, and joked, and laughed, and posed, and laughed, and made funny faces, and laughed, and ran around… and laughed. It was beautiful. I’m so thankful for someone that I can laugh with, who can make me laugh, who does silly things to make me happy, (and looks good while doing it 😉 ) haha. Hope you guys can see a little bit of who we are in these pictures. It was so much fun to be on the other side of the camera for once! 🙂
** On a side note: Thank you to everyone for the feedback on my previous post!! It was just the encouragement I needed. From family and friends, to strangers I’ve never met before – your kind words, little notes, blog comments, and excitement about those things made my heart so full! And gave me the confidence to not let my fears or complacency hold me back anymore!! You guys are amazing!

lots of this was going on… (below)
Gosh my husband’s hott!! WHEW!
and silly… HAHAHA!!!!
This was Aric’s first good film camera that he started with. He got it from his Dad, so it holds a very special place in his heart.
Yes…I still buy and read destination wedding magazines!! 🙂
another side note: The hat? was supposed to be a prop- but we got out to this field and typical West Texas- the wind was crazy and my hair was going everywhere! So I kind of had to keep the hat on to tame the hair flyaways!
He’s also part ninja!
We had to take a quick picture of our new business cards!! After about 6+ months of design work and preparation we finally got these baby’s in! Aric has dreamed of letterpress business cards for as long as I can remember. But he’s a planner and his ideas are so intricate that it takes a while for things to happen. He searched the internet for letterpress companies from the East coast to the West coast and only found a handful that would even attempt the design he had made. So we finally chose Kent Aldrich from the Nomadic Press in Minnesota. We got the cards laser cut (instead of die cut), letterpressed, and the edges colored a sparkly silver (in honor of those sparkly diamond rings!) Kent posted a little blog post himself about the cards and you can go HERE to read it! 🙂 We just can’t stop handing these things out! We’re so excited about them! A special thanks to Kent from Nomadic, Dinah Hodges for our rockin’ logo! And Shane Harris of NEUE Though in Denver for some design help, and he’s also the guy who’s helping us make some changes with our blog! (More on this later!)
and lastly our horrible attempt at a self-timer picture! notice the windy hair!
