Last week we offered up a free session to one of our lucky Facebook fans who emailed us for more info about it.  And when I got the email from Kirby I knew it was going to be amazing.  I met Kirby my freshman year in college.  She was a roommate of one of my older friends from Shallowater.  We never really got to hang out that much but I always admired her from afar.  And let me just tell you- I am absolutely in L-O-V-E with her style.  I mean, yeah sure the vintage style is making this big comeback which is SO awesome-but she was ahead of the trend.

I sent her a few blog posts from the Green Wedding Shoes Blog <<(which I’m addicted to by the way) (along with way too many other wedding blogs) Don’t even click on that link unless you’re prepared to spend the better half of your afternoon on this blog.  It’s addicting.  But if you’re a bride who wants to break out of the box a little and do something AWESOME with your wedding, something unique and different then by all means please DO visit this blog-it will get those ideas flowin’!!

Anyway-for the past several months Aric and I have been talking about setting up some style shoots.  Photographers, wedding planners, florists, etc., do this a lot just to share with those brides out there that have no idea what to do with their wedding that the possibilities are endless!! You don’t have to have the same old wedding that you’ve always seen- you can dream bigger and do better…and you can do it without breaking the bank!! 🙂  For Aric & I the most memorable part about our wedding besides being surrounded by our loved ones were those unique and personal details that we added to our wedding!  I was scared out of my mind when it came to “planning” my wedding.  I’m the farthest thing from a planner there is!  It’s overwhelming and sometimes those endless possibilities are scary!  But after living in the wedding industry for the past year I’ve come to learn that those possibilities aren’t so scary after all.

As we continue to work on this over the next year or so and begin to integrate this idea into our business – we’d love to know of any ideas you might have!  Themes, venues, crazy ideas!  Let us know!!

Okay enough chatter- this post is pretty long, so on to the pictures!!!

99% of this stuff was Kirby’s!!  She brought all the cool little jars, her painting set, awesome little knick knacks and beautiful accessories!!  Don’t you think those jars could be cool centerpieces for a wedding?!?! Um, YES, I think so.

Aric and I stopped by Town South Floral on our way to the shoot to pick up some flowers.  We wanted a bouquet that was different! So we chose wildflowers to go with the vintage, airy feel.  And of course I chose purple!! But I love the way it turned out!! Can’t you just see this as a bouquet for a fun outdoor wedding?!?!

Seriously guys, cut it out!

These next two images show the unique-ness of having both Aric & I on a shoot.  The first one is mine and the second one is his! Same moment, but very different images!

Dear Kirby, You are incredibly beautiful! -Casey

Haha- notice the SIZE of this lightbulb!! It was so cool! I’m tellin’ you- Kirby had some COOL stuff!

Thanks guys for being our models for the day! And for turning the shoot into a REAL style shoot! 🙂
