I’m always a little nervous going on an engagement shoot with a couple we haven’t met before.  Are they going to be comfortable? Are they going to laugh at Aric’s jokes? And so on and so forth. Luckily, we have the best clients ever- and when Kirstie and Brett walked into Starbucks last Saturday morning their great big smiles and warm personalities calmed my nerves instantly.

We woke up to the craziest fog I think Lubbock has ever seen.  Convinced we brought it with us back from San Francisco, I was not excited about it. I was glad to be home AWAY from the fog, I wanted to see the sun for goodness sake!  Of course, then Aric, being the optimistic, creative person that he is painted a picture in my head of romantic images in foggy backgrounds.

And so, the combination of an incredible husband, mixed with a little unexpected fog and the fun personalities of Kirstie & Brett rendered our  very first engagement pictures of 2010.

🙂 Hope you enjoy!

Aric + Casey

Dear Kirstie, You are absolutely beautiful! Sincerely, Casey

background for the next image: Frisbee is a hobby that Kirstie and Brett share together… So OF COURSE we had to incorporate that into their session! And I personally think this image is priceless! 😉

scarves = best prop of all time.

Brett, basically has super human powers.

Brett has been teaching Kirstie how the play the guitar…

The fog seems to give the photos a vintage feel, but they remain modern in their subject and style. Super cool! And LOL at the sweet pole moves!
