Can I just say- before I start this post- my husband is kind of amazing. He continually amazes me. 9 times out of 10 Aric and I always shoot together. We’ve been discussing changing that up a bit to maximize our time and divide our workload, but we just haven’t taken that plunge yet. Essentially we are two “lead” photographers whereas most people have a lead photographer and a second shooter or assistant.  Molly & Brandon wanted to shoot their engagement session in Austin, but couldn’t make it happen the week we were setting up shoots in May- so I mentioned Aric would be near Austin in June for a friends’ bachelor party and could drive into Austin for the shoot by himself.  When they agreed, I was both excited and a little nervous.  Did I need to be there?! Would he get all the shots that I would normally get? Would it be too different from all the shoots we shoot together?!

All those questions and all that worrying for nothing. The consensus is: Aric is awesome. And he might even shoot better without me than with me! Hahaha! When he got back and gave me his images to edit I was blown away! I’m so proud of him! He did such a good job! And when he got back I loved hearing all about Molly and Brandon too! Even though I didn’t get to meet them and see them interact together personally, you can tell how much fun they have with one another.  They truly are best friends and I can’t wait to be a part of their special day next year! So exciting!

Hope you guys enjoy a few favorites from their session!
