I’ve been so thankful lately. For Aric. For our job. For getting to do what we love. For being able to pay the bills by doing what we love.
Like crazy thankful. So much so that just the thought of all these things has brought me to tears one…or a few times…in the last couple of weeks.
I think I’ve taken it for granted. Just being so crazy about work, work, work, and what we need to work on and what equipment we need, and what kind of places we need to go, and this and that… I haven’t really stopped to look around and awe at the place we are now from when we started following this dream just a few short years ago. The Lord has blessed us immensely with his provision over us and this adventure we are on! And I know that none of this happened because of us. Or the pictures we have taken, or the places we have been, or the equipment we have… In all honesty- the “us” in that equation is all the mistakes we’ve made along the way! 🙂 Thankfully the Lord is gracious enough to help us learn from those mistakes! 🙂
Basically I’m just writing to say I’m taking great joy in catching up over this next week while we are home… I won’t complain about the many emails I still need to respond to, or the 4 sessions and 1 wedding that haven’t even been touched yet, or the orders that need to be fulfilled, or the DVD’s that need to be burned and albums that need to be ordered. Instead I will smile, and be SO SO thankful that I actually have 4 sessions and a wedding that need to be worked on, and people are actually ordering our pictures, and so on and so forth. I don’t ever want to forget this moment where I’m so thankful for where I am and who I’m here with and what I’m doing. Dear friends, please don’t let me forget. 🙂
