As Lubbock wedding photographers, we obviously love Lubbock. We love calling Lubbock home. But one of the best things about living in Lubbock and the great state of Texas is the opportunity to travel! When Taylor & Tucker wanted to do something a little different then our typical Lubbock engagement photos and have a San Saba engagement session, I was game! They wanted to have their photos taken in Tucker’s hometown of San Saba, so it was an easy decision to get out of our norm and go exploring in a new Texas town! Texas Hill country will always be one of the most beautiful places in my opinion and San Saba did not disappoint! There was a beautiful little park in town that we started at, so much fun, so much character. The major finale though was defiantely his family ranch. I have to admit, I thought I could live there. Man did it make for some beautiful photos. Shooting in San Saba made the photos extra special to them and his family for sure. I was so happy to incorporate the family history and the ranch in their photos; I feel like it made them extra sentimental to their families. Anyone wanting to shoot on your family’s farm or ranch? Take us with you!! 😉 So many beautiful hidden treasures on Texas farms! We love getting to explore with our couple’s and finding these gorgeous backdrops is just the icing on the cake when a couple is as beautiful and in love as these two! Can’t wait for their wedding next summer!
[…] Seeing these two together was inspiring. As a photographer who sees tons of couples, all the time, on their biggest days and in the most excited moments of their lives, I still love seeing that “engaged” period. That new engaged love, the twinkle in their eyes, the way they look at each other. Taylor and Tucker held each other just a little tighter than you see everyday…and that’s what makes my job fun. They were so much fun to photograph. Their engagement session turned out awesome. The peaceful serene beauty of the rolling hills in San Saba made it not only one of the prettiest engagement sessions I’ve gotten to shoot, but also one of my favorite. The fact that it was his family ranch made it extra special for them and their family. I’m pretty sure they will cherish those engagement photographs forever.
